How does offset litho printing process work?
Offset litho is the equivalent to magazine style printing but for a DVD or CD disc. The printed colours are made up from Cyan Yellow Magenta Black, often printed on a White base.
From these 4 colours nearly all colours can be reproduced. Most suitable for photographic images or where only "pixel" graphic data is available, it gives the best results every time. |

The most ideal input master is a minimum 300dpi press ready pdf file the file is electronically ripped to the four colours and laser cut plates are made and fitted to the machine.
From here the plates roll ink onto the disc, the disc is UV dried and then printed with the next colour. Cycle time per disc is under 2 seconds. 24-7 have made several million discs in this manner.
