At 1.2 millimeters, DVDs are the same thickness as CDs, with the main difference being that DVDs are made up of two 0.6 millimeter substrates bonded together. This allows for a greater rigidity in DVDs over CDs, meaning less 'wobble' occurs when they are spinning and as a result greater reliability for the laser reading.
DVDs are available in four component 'flavours' which can be combined in any number of ways to produce your final product. |
