When submitting a recordable DVD disc as your master, these guidelines must be followed to ensure smooth mastering and replication of your discs.
Do not use a DVD+R or DVD+R DL disc. Supply a DVD-R formatted from your DVD authoring package or Nero etc with Video and Audio TS folder.
If mastering a DVD Video disc do not write the Video and Audio TS folders on to a DVD-R as ROM content, the disc must be mastered as a DVD Video disc.
Only use good quality DVD-R Discs (Eg Maxell, Sony, Verbatim, TDK)
Clearly write on the DVD-R that it is a master and the title name along with your contact details.
Never use a sticky label to print on a DVD disc, only use a disc marker
Do not leave your master in sunlight (the disc can delaminate and discolor) |

Check that your master is clear from scratches
Check the master in the light to see that there is no pock marks where the data has not burned correctly on to the master.
Note that DVD-R discs can only be used as masters for DVD-5 Manufacture, and cannot contain CSS or Macrovision
Above all check your master on several DVD players to ensure that the master you have created is compatible and error free. This final check will also act as a last opportunity to correct any authoring errors.
