We take copyright very seriously.

We are members of FACT (the federation against copyright theft) and support their mission is to protect the United Kingdom’s film and broadcasting industry against counterfeiting, copyright and trademark infringements.

We also work closely with PRS for music to ensure that we pay royalties to the music owners for every piece of copyright material we replicate and are on the PRS recommended suppliers list.

We can help you to register as a writer so that you receive royalties for any music that you own the copyright to. 

We ask that you:

  1. Ensure your masters only contain your work or content that you have licensed.
  2. Ensure that any music used in your master is copyright free/copyright control or you have MCPS documentation that permits its use.
  3. Ensure that any master you supply does not contain images or material that is defamatory or illegal in this country.
  4. Understand that if we believe that the content you are producing is not within the above guidelines then we will contact you and may ask for further documentation to clarify your legal stance on rights/ownership.

We reserve the right to stop production on any of the points above.

We ask that all customers fill in an Intellectual Property Rights form before we replicate your discs.

Licensing Music

The Performance Rights Service (PRS) exists to ensure:

  1. That artists get royalties when their music is performed; and,
  2. That the public, businesses and community groups have access to some of the world’s best loved music

The MCPS can help you to register as the owner of any music that you create as well as providing a license for you to use copyright music on your release without breaking the law.

Follow the steps on the MCPS web site, it's easy to use and the MCPS will act fast to help you to get the correct license.
